SidePaste — Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 9, 2026

SidePaste is built to keep your information on your own Mac. It does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data — there is simply no server to send it to.

What SidePaste stores

The snippets you save (text and images) and your settings are kept locally on your Mac, inside the app's sandbox container (Application Support). This data never leaves your device.

No network access

SidePaste runs entirely offline. The app is sandboxed and ships without any network permission, so it cannot — and does not — connect to the internet, contact the developer, or talk to any third party.

No tracking or analytics

SidePaste contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. It does not build a profile of you, and there are no accounts or sign-in.

Your clipboard

SidePaste reads the clipboard only when you ask it to — for example when you choose “From clipboard” or paste into the entry field. Content that password managers or other apps mark as private or transient is never captured.

Your control over your data

Anything you save stays until you remove it. Deleting a snippet removes it — and any saved image — from your Mac. Removing the app deletes the data it stored.

Children's privacy

SidePaste is a general-purpose utility, is not directed to children, and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version is published here and shipped inside the app, and the date above is revised.
